　　小时候的维德与众不同，随着时间的流逝，维德慢慢长大，学校，家庭各种压力让维德渐渐把自己真实的个性隐藏起来，一次法国科西嘉之旅，维德遇见了志同道合的塔拉，两人相谈甚欢，约定在科西嘉活出真我，回到印度后，工作，步入社会的维德最终做回普通人，碌碌无为的维德能否再次找回真正的自己，他会因虚度光阴而悔恨吗。

　　小胖从小就失去了母亲，父亲另娶一房，使得小胖常常遭到后母的虐待。悲愤之中，忍无可忍的小胖决定离家出走，依靠自己的力量寻找母亲的踪迹。　　小胖来到了城中，邂逅了扒手阿国和小花旦小虎，几经波折，三个单纯可爱的孩子之间结下了深厚的友谊，而阿国亦决定改过自新，金盆洗手，为了生存，三人进了京戏班打拼。某日，三个孩子在后台遇见了活泼可爱的小莲和哑巴嫂，哑巴嫂带给了三个孩子久违的温暖和呵护。小胖意外的遇见了父亲，父亲要带小胖回家，让小胖没有想到的是，哑巴嫂竟然就是自己的母亲，然而此时的父亲已经有了一妻一女，面对失散的妻子，他无法相认。
